Plan with precision

Know your numbers before you buy.

Seven calculations our advisors run every day, and a reminder service that does the remembering for you. They update as you type. Indicative, not a quotation: a formal recommendation follows underwriting, but these put you in the right ballpark in seconds.

Enter today's replacement values — not book values — to see the sum insured a fire policy should carry, and what under-insurance would do to a claim under the average clause.

These are indicative estimates from standard advisory formulas, not a quotation or a guarantee of insurability. Your actual cover depends on underwriting, health, occupation and the policy wording. An advisor will refine them with you.

About Rakshit Financial Services

Cover That Fits.
Service That Stays.

Rakshit Financial Services is a licensed insurance advisory firm covering marine, property, liability and personal insurance across India. We take the time to understand your business, assess the risks that actually matter, and arrange cover from India's leading insurers that matches your real exposure: sums insured that reflect true values at risk, deductibles your balance sheet can absorb and wordings that stand up at claim time.

We are not in the business of selling policies. We are in the business of managing risk. That distinction shapes every conversation we have, every policy we arrange and every claim we handle.

"Our measure of success is not the number of policies we place. It is how well our clients are protected when something goes wrong."

Plain-language answers

Questions you might be
asking before you call us.

What makes RFS different?

Many providers simply sell policies. We assess your risk first and arrange cover second. That shows up in three concrete ways: a recommendation matched to your actual exposure, sector-specific policy wording for industries like mining, chemicals and hospitality, and active claims support that does not end once the policy is issued.

What is the difference between using an advisor and going direct?

Going direct to an insurer leaves you to interpret policy language and handle claims on your own. Working with an experienced advisor like RFS means cover matched to your actual risk, guidance across leading insurers' products, and someone who stays engaged through renewals and claims. That difference matters most when something goes wrong.

How does RFS get paid, and does it influence the advice?

Our recommendations are guided by your risk and your needs, not by sales targets. We are glad to walk you through the options we considered and why we recommended what we did, and where you ask us to, we will document that comparison in full.

What happens if I already have policies in place elsewhere?

We can review your existing programme without any obligation to move it. The output is a written report flagging coverage gaps, redundancies, sub-limit risks and renewal opportunities - the same document we would prepare for an internal audit. If the existing arrangement is sound, we will say so. Where it is not, you decide what to do with the information.

What Your Policy Covers

A structured placement designed to close every material gap in your risk exposure, not a standard policy sold off the shelf.

Accidental Death
100% of the capital sum insured is paid to the nominee if the policyholder dies directly and solely as a result of an accident, within a specified period, typically 12 months, of the accident occurring.
Permanent Total Disablement
100% of the capital sum is paid for injuries resulting in permanent and total loss of earning capacity, including loss of both limbs, both eyes, or one limb and one eye, occurring directly from an accident.
Permanent Partial Disablement
A percentage of the capital sum, as set out in the standard PPD schedule, is paid for permanent but partial injuries, such as loss of a single limb, one eye, hearing in one ear, or specified partial loss of function.
Temporary Total Disablement
A weekly benefit, typically 1% of the capital sum per week, is paid for the period during which the insured is wholly unable to engage in any occupation as a direct result of accidental injury, up to the maximum benefit period.
Medical Expenses
Covers hospitalisation, surgical and treatment costs directly arising from an accidental injury, reimbursed up to a sub-limit specified in the policy, separate from and in addition to the disability benefit.
Worldwide 24/7 Cover
Coverage applies globally and continuously, at work, in transit, during leisure and while travelling abroad. This distinguishes PA cover from occupational accident schemes, which typically restrict cover to work hours or work premises.

Our Approach

The Highest-Value Protection for an Earning Individual, Relative to Premium

A ₹1 crore personal accident policy can be purchased for a fraction of the equivalent term life premium, and it covers events that term life does not, temporary disability and income loss during recovery. For the 20-45 age group, accidental death and disability is a statistically significant risk that most individuals carry with no financial protection.

We calculate the appropriate capital sum based on your income, outstanding liabilities and the financial cost of temporary incapacity, most individuals under-insure on PA because they apply life insurance thinking to an income replacement product.
We compare PA policies across general insurers on the breadth of the permanent partial disability schedule, the weekly TTD benefit structure and the comprehensiveness of the included perils list.
For individuals with high occupational risk, construction, driving, field operations, we obtain specialist PA policies with occupation-appropriate terms rather than standard policies with blanket occupational exclusions.
Who Needs This

Who Carries This Risk

If your situation matches those described below, this cover belongs in your financial plan.

01
Self-Employed Professionals
Doctors, lawyers, architects and consultants whose income depends entirely on their personal capacity to work face a direct financial risk from even temporary disability.
02
Daily Wage & Contract Workers
Workers without ESIC or social security cover have no income replacement on accidental disability, PA insurance provides the safety net their employment terms do not.
03
High-Risk Occupation Workers
Construction workers, machine operators, delivery riders and other workers in hazardous environments carry elevated accident probability that makes PA cover both important and affordable relative to the risk.
04
Frequent Travellers
Regular domestic and international travellers face elevated accident exposure in transit environments. Worldwide 24/7 cover addresses this without the restrictions of travel-specific schemes.
05
Primary Breadwinners
Any individual whose income is the primary source of family support needs PA cover for the income replacement and debt-servicing gap that even a short period of total disability creates.
06
Sports & Fitness Enthusiasts
Recreational athletes and fitness-focused individuals face injury risks not covered by standard health insurance. A PA policy with a sports extension provides specific cover for training and competition-related accidents.
How We Work

From Brief to Bound Cover

Three steps from your first conversation to a policy that is correctly structured and priced.

01
Income & Risk Assessment
We assess your occupation, income, daily activities, travel pattern and outstanding financial obligations to determine the appropriate capital sum and weekly benefit level for each cover section.
02
Plan Selection
We compare PA policies across general insurers, focusing on the PPD disability scale comprehensiveness, weekly TTD benefit structure, medical expense sub-limit and clarity of the exclusion list.
03
Claims Management
On an accidental injury, we notify the insurer, assist with hospitalisation bill submission, manage the disability assessment process and follow through to final settlement, including challenging inadequate PPD assessments.
Key Benefits

Why Clients Place This Cover Through Us

Comprehensive Disability Schedule
We select policies with the most comprehensive PPD schedule, covering the widest range of injuries at fair compensation percentages. A narrower schedule means lower compensation for the same injury.
Income Replacement Design
We size the weekly TTD benefit and capital sum to genuinely replace your income during the disability period, not a nominal weekly figure that falls short of your fixed financial commitments.
Worldwide Continuous Cover
Cover applies 24 hours a day, globally, unlike group accident schemes that typically restrict cover to working hours, work premises or domestic territories.
Claims Advocacy
Personal accident disability assessments are frequently challenged by insurers. We engage with surveyors and medical assessors on your behalf to ensure the full, appropriate benefit is paid.
FAQ

Common Questions

Health insurance covers hospitalisation from any cause, illness or accident. Personal accident insurance is specifically for accidents, it pays for accidental death, permanent and temporary disability, and accident-related medical expenses. PA also pays a lump-sum disability benefit and weekly income replacement, which health insurance does not. The two products complement rather than duplicate each other.
No. Personal accident insurance covers only injuries arising from sudden, violent, external and visible accidents. Deaths or disabilities arising from illness, including cardiac events, stroke, cancer and infection, are not covered. These are addressed by health insurance, critical illness cover and term life insurance.
Permanent partial disablement is a permanent but incomplete loss of function resulting from an accident, such as loss of one limb, one eye, partial loss of hearing or partial loss of movement. The policy pays a percentage of the capital sum based on the injury type, as specified in the PPD schedule. The schedule and percentages vary between insurers.
Yes, subject to occupation risk classification. Most PA policies classify occupations into three or four risk categories. Higher-risk occupations, mining, heavy construction, chemical processing, attract higher premiums and may carry occupation-specific exclusions. We obtain specialist PA policies for high-risk occupations rather than placing standard policies with broad exclusions.
Most personal accident policies provide 24-hour, worldwide coverage that includes commuting by any mode of transport. However, some policies issued before 2020 or placed under group schemes may restrict cover to working hours or specific circumstances. We confirm the coverage basis, specifically including commuting, in writing for every policy we place.

Accident cover sized to replace your income, not just pay your hospital bill.

Most PA policies are under-sized and placed without reference to the policyholder's actual income and commitments. We calculate the right numbers.
