IRDAI's register of non-life insurance products lists 792 general insurance products and 2800 add-ons from 27 insurers, approved 2015 to 2022, each with its UIN and a link to its policy wording. This library groups them by insurer, under each insurer's current name.

Why the wording matters more than the brochure
A policy is the schedule, the wording and any endorsements, read together. The brochure and the insurer's web page summarise it and say so in their own footers. When a claim is disputed, the surveyor, the insurer and the Ombudsman all read the wording, so it is the document to read before renewal, not after a loss.
Below fifty crore of value at risk, fire cover is IRDAI's standard product and the wording is the same whoever sells it. Above it, and on most liability, engineering and marine covers, the wordings differ and comparing them is the point of using a broker.
Reading a UIN
Every product IRDAI approves carries a Unique Identification Number. For a general insurance product it begins IRDAN, and the three digits that follow are the insurer's IRDAI registration number, which is how this library keeps an insurer's products together through a change of name. The V01, V02 that follow mark the version of the wording. An add-on carries its parent product's UIN with its own /A suffix, or a UIN of its own where it was filed alone.
The UIN is printed on your policy schedule. Match it here and you have the wording your policy was issued on. If your schedule shows a version this library does not list, the insurer has filed a newer one since.

Where can I find the policy wording of my insurance?
On the insurer's page in this library, matched by the UIN on your policy schedule. Each wording links to the PDF IRDAI itself hosts. If your policy is newer than the register's entries, ask the insurer for the wording by UIN, or ask us and we will get it.
What is a UIN in insurance?
The Unique Identification Number IRDAI gives every approved product. For a general insurance product it starts IRDAN followed by the insurer's three-digit registration number, and it changes version (V01, V02) when the wording is revised.
Is the policy wording the same as the brochure?
No. The brochure summarises the cover; the wording is the contract, with the definitions, conditions and exclusions a claim is decided on.
My insurer has changed its name. Where are its wordings?
Under its current name here. The register files products under the name used at the time, so Kotak Mahindra General's products are under Zurich Kotak, Reliance General's under IndusInd General, and so on.
Which years does the register cover?
The entries run from 2015 to 2022. Products approved since may not appear yet.
